I've been working with these guys over the summer and we've worked out a deal for this website system. Currently this site is serving as a beta test for my musician installation profile for drupal 6.
Calculating length of time and cost to process:
1 DVD, 1 hour in length broken into 6 clips (youtube maxlength of 10min)
(6 * 40min/clip to encode and compress from dvd, and save to hard drive) =240min
(6 * 25min to upload each clip )= 150min
240 + 150 = 390min / 60min/hr = 6.5 hours per DVD
Other things like loading discs, waiting for the site to load and managing large files haven't been included but could add up to 15min/disc
Our most current project, building a new site for Cassius Khan, a classical Indian Tabla player who is really amazing! He sings and plays tabla at the same time, which looks pretty difficult and not many people can do that.
Awesome new Community Classified Ad site, has lots of nice bells and whistles, and they provide an easy and free way to sell all the things you don't need anymore. Sortof a social networking type of application, but user privacy is important, so you don't have to give out your email to spammers and creeps.
Broken Stone Mining is a cool little mining company, who has recently acquired a new gold mining property near Whitehorse, Yukon. We started working on their website when it was using an old-school table based layout and now it's been totally rebuilt.
Full functioning ecommerce site. Accepts Paypal payments (Credit Cards too) and ships via Canada Post.
